We had a very roomy, comfortable room. The breakfast was good, liked the eggs.

Our reservation said King bed and we got a full. Some guy took a big drink out of the gallon milk jug in the fridge for breakfast. There was food and junk left in the fridge in our room from the previous stay. The staff was very rude when we checked in. I would NOT recommend this at all if traveling to Topeka.

Good breakfast, clean rooms, close to interstate, not noisy.
The bathroom door did not open far enough, it hit the curved shower rod.

Pretty clean and it look like they were trying to make improvements for as old as what the place look like it was very difficult to find the driveway to get back to the hotel there was no sign on Wanamaker which was the address because it sat way back off the road
Breakfast was not ready when we went down at 7:20 in the morning they did not have the pastries or the bagel sitting out the hot water did not work when I asked the employee about where to get hot water for my hot tea he said wait 15 minutes I waited 15 minutes nothing happened I just went back to my room and use the coffee pot for hot tea in the morning when I checked out the lady was very nice and explained that they been having troubles with it

The room was cozy, and the comfy bed helped me relax after a long drive. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and appreciated the fitness center for some quick workouts. The only downside was a bit of noise from the hallway, but it wasn't a big deal 😊

For the price we got through Trivago, it was a good deal and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were fairly large.
No elevator, musty smell in the rooms. The A/C didn't work and the door hung up on the carpet and couldn't be opened past halfway.

The rooms were freezing and the heater didn't work. When asking for a blanket we were informed they didn't have anymore.

Staff was very helpful. When there was an issue with breakfast items running low or out they were very prompt at replenishing them.
Was told that the rewards points were put on my account however I have not seen them a week later and when I contacted Choice rewards they said they do not award them to third party reservations. however bookings.com and Choice hotels partnership is posted everywhere at the hotel.

Solo traveler not impressed
First off, check-in was smooth, no problems there? At least the room had no carpet, just hard floors, so that was a tiny positive. But, let's face it, I don't come to a hotel to enjoy the flooring.
The price was a bit steep for such poor conditions.
